Chapter 7: Creating Books

Have questions about creating books with Apple's iPhoto that aren't answered in my book, iPhoto 5 for Mac OS X: Visual QuickStart Guide? Ask them here! I can't guarantee that I can answer everything about the program, but I'll take a shot at any question. Read through the questions and answers below first!

Re: Chapter 7: Creating Books

Adam, in the iPhoto2 book, you warned against using black-and-white photos when sending Apple a book from iPhoto. Has this problem been resolved in the ensuing three years? I have scanned quite a few photos in grayscale and want to make a book. I'd hate to have to rescan thes B-W photos in color....

Thanks, Gary Hoffman ghoffmanucsd.edu

Apple hasn't said anything specific about this, but I haven't heard particular complaints, so my suspicion is that it was a temporary problem that has since been fixed.

Re: Chapter 7: Creating Books

Hey, I recently just created a book and i was wondering if there is any way to get rid of the apple logo on the last page(inside cover). if there is any way to remove that, because it does not let you when creating the book- i would like to replace it with a company name for example..

Thanks!

You can turn it off (look in the Settings dialog for the book), but I don't believe you can replace it with anything else without hacking the PDF in transit, which might be tricky.
